Is there a cost?
No. Wayfinder is an Ontario non-profit. Our support is always free to patients and families. There are no fees and no insurance requirements.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. You can reach out directly, whether you're a patient, a family member, a caregiver, or someone helping a loved one.
How long does the intake take?
About 5 to 8 minutes. You can pause and return—there's no pressure to complete it in one sitting.
Is my information confidential?
Yes. Your information is handled with care, privacy, and respect. We only use what you share to understand how we can help.
Can a family member contact Wayfinder on someone's behalf?
Absolutely. Family members, caregivers, and support people are welcome to reach out on behalf of someone facing cancer, or for themselves.
What if I'm not sure whether you can help?
Please reach out anyway. If Wayfinder isn't the right fit, we'll do our best to point you toward a service that is.
Does Wayfinder provide medical care?
No. Wayfinder provides non-medical navigation and coordination. We complement—not replace—your clinical care team.
