How we handle the information you share.
Wayfinder is an Ontario non-profit providing free cancer navigation support. People come to us at a difficult time, and we treat what they tell us with care.
What we collect
When you contact us or complete a support request, we collect the details you choose to share: your name, contact information, preferred way of being reached, your relationship to the diagnosis, and a description of the help you are looking for.
How we use it
We use this information only to respond to your request, understand your situation, and help identify resources, services and questions that may be relevant to discuss with your care team.
What we do not do
We do not sell information. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use personal medical information to train public AI models, and we do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Sharing with others
We only share your information with a service or organization when doing so is necessary to help you, and when you have asked us to or agreed to it.
Storage and retention
Requests are stored securely and kept only as long as needed to support you and to understand where navigation barriers occur. Access is limited to the people at Wayfinder who need it.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to correct your information, stop contacting you, or delete the details you shared. Write to us and we will confirm once it is done.
Questions about privacy, or a request about your information? Write to support@wayfindercare.ca.
